Friendship economies have changed to build trusting relationships across domains, both social and practice, according to Nikhil Chopra, curator of the sixth edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale (KMB).

At a ‘Let’s Talk’ session organised in Bengaluru organised by Kochi Biennale Foundation (KBF), Nikhil discussed the role of the Biennale as a space to challenge dominant narratives imposed by the art market. Addressing the gathering at National Gallery of Modern Art on Saturday, he expressed excitement about the upcoming edition of the KMB.

Poet-journalist Joshua Muyiwa moderated the hour-long conversation.

KMB president Bose Krishnamachari, in his introduction, provided an overview of the sixth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, scheduled to run from 12 December 2025 to 31 March 2026, and reflected on the Biennale’s evolution over the years.
